Occupational Therapy is the use of purposeful activity for individuals who are limited by physical injury or illness, psychosocial dysfunction, developmental or learning disabilities, poverty and cultural differences, or the aging process to maximize independence, prevent disability, and maintain health as defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association. All therapists are fully licensed with state and national governing boards. Occupational therapy is currently available only on an as needed basis, provided by contract personnel. Sample conditions: Post-stroke and Neurologic rehabilitation, Adaptive Equipment and Treatment for the mentally and physically handicapped or disabled
